This article features an individual or corporate collector highlighting their art collection. This may include the history of how they became a collector, what types of work they own, other interesting stories related to the collection as well as a discussion about the pieces in the collection. The collector will be interviewed by a Fine Art Connoisseur representative or may submit their own feature for consideration. Photos of the collection itself, individual paintings in the collection, collector with their art or environs relative to the story will accompany the feature.  

To submit a proposal for a Hidden Collection feature, please send the following items:

1. Ten to fifteen images from your collection; these can be submitted as: 4x5 transparencies, 35mm slides, or large high-resolution digital images burned onto a CD.

2. A cover letter stating your request for your collection to be featured

3. An SASE for the return of your materials

Twice a year, our editorial review committee will meet to review all proposals.  We will contact you right away if your collection is selected, and we will arrange for a staff writer to interview you.  If your collection is not selected, we will be sure to return your submission materials.

Freelance Writers: If you would like to submit a proposal on behalf of a collector, please send all of the above, as well as your own bio and a writing sample.  Please note that we do not pay freelance writers.
